Most phones bottom out at 1% brightness — still too harsh for a dark bedroom. Pure Light uses a two-tier approach: first hardware brightness, then a soft canvas shift from white toward near-black. One natural drag. No overlays on other apps.

Dual-tier dimming

Drag in the center band: upper area adjusts hardware brightness down to the OS minimum; lower area keeps going with software dimming — perceptually darker than 1%.

Sleep fade

Set a timer and Pure Light gradually dims to black — smoothly through both tiers. When done, the screen releases and your phone can sleep naturally.

Home Screen widget

One-tap presets — 1%, 10%, 30%, 65%, 100% — plus Resume last level. Open the app at exactly the brightness you want.

Tap to reveal controls

Tap the screen for a subtle action bar — Sleep Fade and optional Tip Jar. Drag to adjust brightness; tap alone never changes your level.
